Hurt by Johnny Cash might be the best music video ever. It gives me the chills.

Trent wrote that song for Johnny Cash to sing. He just didn't know it until it happened. The NIN version is good. The Johnny Cash version is life altering!

Cash all the way in my opinion. NIN is ok. Johnny Cash you live it when he is singing.

You make a good point there my good man..

I changed how I lived my life the first time I heard The Pretty Reckless - You.. Sure, she's a young girl.. but damn... that song did something.. Why waste my time.

Johnny = awesome. I can't quite describe it in English... I can describe it in Norwegian, but that won't mean anything for most of you guys here.

Let's just say that "Johnny Cash reddet nok livet mitt. Når jeg på det sykeste"

Sorry my friend that isn't correct. Trent wrote that in 1994 and right before his death Cash asked if he could cover it.

That entire Cash album (The Man Comes Around) is a true masterpiece. You can't help but get choked up listening to it. It's pure simplicity and rawness show what real musicians can do without all the studio tricks and fakeassery. Them other two videos have no business even being linked on the same page as the great Man in Black.

Reread what RacecaR wrote...he's saying Rexnor didn't know he'd written it for Cash until Reznor heard Cash's version of it...

For you Cash fans, there was a fairly obscure 1998 tribute album done for Tom T Hall called The Tom T Hall Project...and here's the very first track from it. Stunning...breathtaking in its emotion and purity.

Yeah, what Slave2anMG said. I meant that song took on a whole new life when Johnny Cash sang it. It was like it was meant for him when Trent Reznor wrote it all those years before.
